FAQ

  • WHAT IS YOUR STYLE OF FILMING ON MY WEDDING DAY?

We always take a discreet approach while filming during your wedding day. We believe in being as ‘ninja like’ and unobtrusive as possible. After all, you are the star of the day and we are there to capture it.

  • DO I NEED A SECOND VIDEOGRAPHER?

There are so many benefits to having a second videographer. Intimate weddings with less than 100 guests and a small bridal party can often be captured by one videographer. However, for weddings that are larger with over 100 guests and especially larger bridal parties and multiple locations, having two videographers allows for more of your day to be captured. For example, while your main videographer is capturing that special moment when the bride walks down the aisle, the second videographer will be able to have the perfect shot of the grooms reaction. Having additional videographers allows us to bring multiple perspectives together to create your greatest love story.

  • WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL YOU BRING TO MY WEDDING AND RECEPTION?

We bring quite-a-bit of gear to each wedding but we pack it so well you would never know it. Our cameras consist of Canon R6 and R5, a drone (if included in package), multiple industry standard lenses and microphones, and a variety of stabilizers (tripods, monopods, gimbals).

  • WHAT MAKES A LJR FILM VIDEO DIFFERENT FROM OTHER STUDIOS:

First: The biggest difference between LJR Films and anyone else is we use and LOVE natural audio. We don't force, but surely love when our clients personalize their vows, cards, or love letters to each other, and speeches from the reception. Using these sound bites allow us to craft a video unique to you.

Second: Editing. The editing is as equally important as the actual filming. The ability to create a compelling story from the footage we capture while using audio from the day is something we specialize in.

Third: With over 10 years experience in audio environment, I consider it a specialty and something that is important to me. So I have invested in the best mics and recorders available to capture all the audio from your day.

  • YOU SAY IT MAY TAKE 3-6 MONTHS TO GET MY VIDEO BACK WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG?

For us, a typical wedding day is about 10 hours and we end up with 150-200 Gigabytes of footage. Averaging about 2-3 hours of continuous footage with multiple audio recordings. We then have to watch each clip, organize and sync audio. Then we put the footage together to create your story. We then find the right musical track, and color grade. On average, it takes about 60+ hours over the course of 3-6 months.

  • DO YOU PROVIDE RAW FOOTAGE?

Why yes we do! We have several additional products and add-ons you can add to your package. Ask for more details.

  • DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

We carry the standard one million dollar liability policy most venues require for vendors.

  • We carry the standard one million dollar liability policy most venues require for vendors.

After shooting 300+ weddings, I have become close friends with many vendors aka "friendors" who refer us to their own couples. We're pretty easy going and have loved all the photographers we’ve worked with.
